Commissioning a piece of art can happen in different ways. Occasionally clients come to me with the seeds of an idea for a piece of work and we work together on developing the idea. Our initial discussions lead to sketches, which lead to a final design. Others will have a fairly clear idea of what they want, and of what is suitable. Every commission is an opportunity to respond to a new situation and to make something unique.
